Knight Online è un fantasy game che rientra nella tipologia dei MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game), ovvero quella tipologia di gioco di ruolo che viene eseguita tramite internet. Con oltre 10 milioni di giocatori in tutto il mondo, Knight Online rappresenta una delle più grandi community MMO esistenti. Dopo la registrazione, al sito ufficiale, ogni utente può scegliere se interpretare il ruolo di un Uomo (tra i cui prete, guerriero, barbaro, mago, ...) o di un Orco. Knight Online rientra anche nella tipologia del PvP (Player versus Player), ovvero scontro tra giocatori umani. La descrizione in lingua inglese: Upon registering and creating an account, each player must choose between becoming a Human or an Orc, and within each nation, people can choose to build up their character as a barbarian, warrior, priest, rogue or mage. The successful player will seek to join forces with others of his or her nation in order to obtain victory. By enduring battles, each character may also become a hero in the world of Knight Online. He/she may also receive a title of recognition and reward from the King, become the lord of his own castle, and even rule over a city.
